Dropin Delivery is a project where I served as both a designer and marketer. This business operates its app using the Flutter tech stack. As a designer, I collaborated closely with developers, the business owner, and their clients, which included restaurants, liquor stores, and local shop owners.
I was involved in this project from initial research through to the completion of the final prototype.
I began by conducting user interviews with both business owners and end customers to gain insights into the primary payment methods they used and their associated pain points. Through these interviews, I discovered that many local businesses preferred using EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), particularly Capitec Bank, due to the benefits of transferring money or receiving payments using the phone number transfer method.
Armed with this information, we focused on ensuring that the app’s design was user-centric, facilitating easier and more efficient business operations for the owners. This approach aimed to address their specific needs and improve their overall experience with the app.

Curepharm, a local pharmacy based in Johannesburg, sought to refresh their brand and enlisted my services as a graphic designer to achieve this goal. This project entailed a comprehensive, end-to-end collaboration, where I was deeply involved in every stage of the brand revitalization process.
From the outset, I adopted a design thinking approach, which allowed me to thoroughly understand Curepharm’s needs and objectives. This methodology emphasized empathy, ideation, and iteration, ensuring that the design solutions were not only innovative but also closely aligned with the client’s vision and their customers’ expectations.
Throughout the project, I maintained open and consistent communication with the client. I actively solicited feedback on various design concepts and iterations, ensuring that every aspect of the new branding was meticulously crafted to resonate with their target audience. By integrating this feedback, I was able to create designs that were both aesthetically pleasing and functionally effective.
Research and Discovery: I conducted in-depth research to understand the current brand perception, market positioning, and customer preferences. This phase provided valuable insights that guided the subsequent design process.
Concept Development: Based on the research findings, I developed multiple design concepts, each reflecting different aspects of the desired brand identity. These concepts were presented to the client for review and feedback.
Iteration and Refinement: Utilizing the client’s feedback, I iteratively refined the design concepts. This collaborative process ensured that the final designs were not only visually appealing but also aligned with Curepharm’s strategic goals.
Implementation: Once the final design was approved, I worked on implementing the new branding across various touchpoints, ensuring consistency and coherence in all brand communications.
By the end of the project, Curepharm had a refreshed brand identity that effectively communicated their values and connected with their customers. This successful collaboration demonstrated the power of design thinking and the importance of a client-centered approach in achieving impactful design outcomes.
